I am a clay sculptor, a drawer and painter: my sculptures are figurative often reflecting my love of theatre, music and the feeling of a moment. Many of my sculptures are wood fired and bear the marks of the fires they have been subjected to: its own accidental character, seldom caught in bronze, stone or wood. 

My porcelain works combine different pieces joined before firing, then using third firing techniques I draw my own designs, using nibs and brush with glazes and re-fire them. 

I like my paintings to be vibrant and lively: bold lines of expression are simple but carefully planned as is the use of colour. The combination of these gives my work its strength and vitality.
