I live in the beautiful town of Harrogate although I’m originally from the equally lovely Newcastle upon Tyne.
I’ve been entranced by glass all my life but a course at the National Glass Centre in Sunderland was the start of my creative journey and in 2012 I set up my business – Red Hot Glass UK. Since then I’ve sold my work throughout the world as well as through major galleries and online via Etsy and taken part in group exhibitions for art colleges and galleries.

I enjoy experimenting with colour and form or using glass as a blank ‘canvas’ to create more illustrative work. I find it works very well for reflecting my love of nature, particularly of the sea where I use various techniques to develop the feeling of depth and movement in water.

I also enjoy creating individual pieces for clients – for example portholes for a narrow boat and glass ‘cairns’ as a memory of a special moment. These commissions can be quite challenging and encourage me to work outside of my comfort zone.

I’ll continue to invest my time in learning new techniques and travelling widely in order to develop my understanding of, and to continue. my life-long love affair with glass.
