For as long as I can remember I have been inspired by art. I received my first pastels when I was 8 and since then these have been my first love and I am now delighted to be an Associate Artist with Unison Pastels. I work either solely in pastel or combined with other media. I also enjoy painting in oils. I am at my happiest outside with my easel seeking to capture the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales, the moors or the coast in all their wonderful glory.

I seek to create energy and expressiveness in my work and feel this reflects my own lifestyle. I often work in mixed media laying loose washes of watercolour, inks and / or liquid graphite before applying my favourite pastels. When working solely in pastels, I use mark making to maximum effect to create paintings full of impact.
