Alan lives in the North Yorkshire market town of Yarm on Tees in the UK; he loves using the

medium of pastels or colour pencils to capture the diverse colours and character of animal wildlife and finds inspiration for his subjects from countryside walks both at home and abroad.

He has illustrated the book cover, a magical raven, for an established North East author, and has been interviewed for the Fine Art Trade Guilds Art and Framing magazine. His art has been exhibited at both International and local exhibitions where he has won awards.

He is a member of the Fine Art Trade Guilds ArtSure scheme which guarantees that only approved printer, inks and paper combinations are used in the production of archival giclée print editions that capture his original art in detail. His art can be purchased as giclée prints, greeting cards, bookmarks and more.
