Landscape and seascape artist, also pets and other animals. Self taught, started painting in oils and watercolours in 1979. Living in the Orkney Islands stimulated paintings of sea and cliffs and the use of acrylics now my preferred media, with pencil for portraits and pets. Opened my own Gallery in Melrose before moving back to Yorkshire in 2000. I have exhibited in galleries throughout Scotland and Northern England. Recent work is on display at ‘The Look Gallery’ Helmsley and ‘Art Circles’, The Shambles, York. My work has been acquired by private collections in Australia, USA, Canada, France, Italy, Spain and throughout the UK. Bruce Dobson Latest work can be viewed at my home address by appointment |
